He is a retired British Army Officer who has been leading Battlefield tours since 1983. He served for 16 years, both in the Parachute Regiment and in the Royal Corps of Signals thereby having a unique perspective from both a soldiers eye as well as the Command, Control and Communications aspects at higher levels of the Battlefield.Leaving the Army at the end of the Cold War, he became a technical consultant, then successfully ran his own consultancy, worked in the City of London and became a fully qualified teacher at University level.Leaving the UK at the end of 2013 to live in the heart of the D-Day landing area in Normandy, and therefore focusses on this area and not being split across different wars and areas. Using his diverse and extensive experience, he is able to impart knowledge at exactly the right level, be it the the broader situation or the operations controlling the local tactics. He is equally at home guiding a group of 50 as a couple, from the overall situation of Normandy to a specific battle or event. You will end up understanding all the issues and factors that led to the outcomes of 1944 as well as the historical reasons that led up to WW2 and the historical parallels of modern life.As everyones requirements are unique and the solution bespoke, he prefers to talk through the proposed tour with a prospective client rather tying to shoehorn the guest into a standard limited tour.
