The town of Avignon is about 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Aix-en-Provence, and it is full of history! On this tour, we will see the Roman Aqueduct Pont du Gard, an incredible work of art built by the Romans 2000 years ago. We will also do a walking tour of Avignon where you can see the famous Pope Palace dated 14th century. We will make sure to stop on top of Le Rocher des Doms, which overlooks the Rhône river and the very old Pont d'Avignon from the 12th century. You might know the famous nursery rhyme about dancing on the Pont D'Avignon.
