"Hello guys this is your captain Simon speaking!!
I'm based in Aix en Provence, Provence's old capital.I was born in Cannes (movie festival) approximately 2 months before Cary Grant passed away.I have been working (enjoying myself) as a guide for 7 years.I can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and a little bit French (OK not that good this one).
About my "ship" it's a comfortable mercedes 8-seat van with air conditioned...
We will see beautiful places, nice landscapes and people with moustaches! Maybe we will play pétanque and taste Roséwine (besides me since I'm your captain). We will probably see a lot of puppies and a lot of people wearing a beret. We will find delicious cantaloup and nice strawberries in a typical provencal market. We can buy a "baguette" and also taste a provencal goat cheese. We could actually have a "pique nique" !!
We will hopefully see the Lavender Fields (June, July) and you will tell me how lucky I am to live in such an area...I would warn you about the large number of bees in the fields and explain the difference between the Lavendin and the Lavender.
We will walk on the footsteps of Vangogh in Arles and St Rémy de Provence, and I will prove you that I'm his Fench descendant...Of course, I will show you the Popes' Palace in Avignon and if you want we will dance on "the bridge of Avignon" after a glass (or two) of Château Neuf du Pape Wine (if the popes have left us any).
We will see soccer supporters praying in Marseille's beautiful basilica "Notre Dame de la Garde" for their team to win the game.I will prove you that French people do take showers thanks to the wonderful soap of Marseille...
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY WE WILL HAVE A LOT OF FUN !!
I hope you are ready and you've got your seatbelt fasten. Have a wonderful day!
Love, Simon"
