8-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari through Mara, Samburu, Amboseli and Nakuru

• After breakfast, depart Nairobi at 7:30 am and drive to Samburu National Reserve.

• Cross the Equator and travel through changing landscapes into this rugged semi-arid region. Though harsh, it is home to unique species such as the unusual reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. These species are rarely found elsewhere, and the birdlife is especially notable.

• Arrive in time for lunch.

• Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

• Spend a full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.

• An optional visit to Samburu villages is also available.

• Depart after breakfast and proceed south to Lake Nakuru, often referred to as the pink lake for its great masses of pink flamingos.

• Arrive in time for lunch.

• Go on an afternoon game drive. You may also see waterbuck, leopards, impala, and buffalo, and the park is currently a rhino sanctuary.

Dinner and overnight at Nakuru Merica Hotel or similar.

• Leave Nakuru after breakfast and head for Masai Mara National Reserve, which is famous for its great herds of wild game.

• All animals found in Kenya among the Big Five can be seen here.

• Arrive in time for lunch.

• Head out for afternoon game drives.

• Enjoy a full day with morning and afternoon game drives.

• You may spend time at leisure at the lodge or visit the Maasai villages for a small fee paid separately.

• Depart Masai Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli via Nairobi for lunch.

• Arrive at the park at the foot of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak.

• Spend a full day in Amboseli with two game drives.
