Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

   • Mert your local tour guide in Nairobi at 8 am for pick-up and transfer.

   • Drive through Westland’s to the Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a stopover.

   • Proceed to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. This game reserve is considered to be the “Jewel and highlight of any safari”. This is mainly because of its abundance of game, and the fact that it supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of predators.

   • Check in to the camp for lunch.

   • Embark on an evening game drive.

   Dinner, entertainment, and overnight at Basecamp Masai Mara/ Sopa Lodge.

2. Day 2: Full Day at Maasai Mara

   • Enjoy a hefty buffet breakfast and embark on a game viewing drive in search of wild animals.

   • Drive to the famous Mara River in search of hippos and crocodiles. 

   • If you visit between July and September, you will witness The Great Migration of the Wildebeest from Serengeti plains to Masai Mara through the Mara River. This annual event was named as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.

   • Enroute, see the Kenya-Tanzania border that marks one side of the Mara Triangle. 

   • Have lunch in the park and proceed on a game drive.

   Dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Return to Nairobi

   • Wake up at 6 am to embark on an early morning game drive. This is the best time to have game drives since the animals, both nocturnal and diurnal, are active before the sun sends them off under the shades.

   • Return to the lodge for breakfast.

   • Transfer to Nairobi.
