Itinerary

1. Day 1- Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

   • Begin with a morning departure from your Nairobi Hotel and drive to the north rugged, semi-desert region of Samburu Reserve area for lunch at a local lodge here.

   • Go for an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa lodge/ Simba lodge.

2. Day 2- Samburu Game Reserve

   • Go for an early morning and late afternoon game drive inside the park. In between meals, you can also do an optional visit to Samburu villages.

   • Spend your evening with a fun game ride. 

   Overnight stay at Samburu Sopa lodge/ Simba lodge.

3. Day 3- Aberdare Ranges

   • After breakfast, you will depart towards Aberdares Range near Mount Kenya.

   • Have lunch on the way at Outspan Golf & Country club followed by afternoon transfers to the Treetops Lodge/The Ark for dinner and overnight stay. Enjoy rocky landscapes this mountain ranges.

4. Day 4- Lake Nakuru

   • After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru, a Rift Valley soda lake, located in the Rift Valley. On the way, you can stop at Thomson Falls for some waterfall views.  

   • Arrive at Nakuru town for lunch followed by rest and an afternoon game drive. 

   • Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Sopa Lodge.

5. Day 5- Lake Naivasha

   • Begin with an early morning game viewing in this Lake to see thousands of birds feeding in the alkaline water. Look out for waterbucks and warthogs as you leave for the Hell's Gate National Park. 

   • Spend a leisurely afternoon with a boat ride or a bike ride around the lake area (optional).

   • Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge/Simba lodge.

6. Day 6- Maasai Mara

   • After breakfast, begin your safari tour at Maasai Mara Reserve. Spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, Thomson's gazelles and wildebeests at this game reserve through fun game rides. 

   • Overnight stay will be at a lodge here. 

7. Day 7- Maasai Mara

   • Spend your second day at the Masai Mara reserve area. Today, you will go for game rides to spot the Big Five. Rest and relax with picnic lunch boxes and spend an entire day in the park.

   • If interested, you can also go for early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Masai village (at a cost of US$20 per person).

   • Dinner and overnight stay at the Mara Simba lodge/Sopa lodge.

8. Day 8- Amboseli National Park

   • In the morning, we will depart from the Maasai Mara Reserve area and drive south through Maasai country to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro, where Amboseli is situated. 

   • After a stopover lunch at Nairobi, you will reach the scenic Amboseli National Park.

   • Enjoy a fun game drive here before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

9. Day 9- Amboseli National Park

   • After a leisurely breakfast, we will explore this National Park through morning and afternoon game drives.

   • We have sufficient time for relaxation at the lodge, which promises panoramic views of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. At 329 sq km, Amboseli is a small park and lacks the profusion of animal species found in the Mara, but the landscape provides limited cover so we have better chances of seeing some of the larger predators.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the Mara Simba lodge/Sopa lodge (Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast).

10. Day 10- Tsavo West National Park

    •  After breakfast, you will leave for Tsavo West with an en-route game viewing option at the Chyulu gate. Then, this drive will continue to the Mzima Springs.

    • Continue to your lodge for check-in and lunch and rest, followed by an afternoon game ride. Spoteastern black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, Cape buffaloes, elephants, leopards and giraffes. Other attractions in this extensive park are the Shetani Lava Flows and the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary.

    Dinner and overnight stay at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

11. Day 11- Tvaso East National Park

    • After breakfast, you will depart for Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya's oldest and largest national parks. Go for game drives and spot a variety of bird species and animals, including the famed Tsavo lions, bats, buffaloes, monkeys, mongoose, elephants, foxes, gazelles, oryx, leopards and many more.

    • Rest and have lunch at your safari lodge, followed by an evening game drive too.

    Dinner and overnight stay at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge/SentrimLodge (Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast).

12. Day 12- Nairobi

    • Go on an early morning game viewing, then return to your lodge for breakfast at 9.00 am and check out.

    • Leave with picnic lunch boxes back to Nairobi, arriving late in the afternoon.
