Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu National Park

   • Meet your tour guide at your Nairobi hotel or Airport and depart north to Samburu Game Reserve.

   • Arrive in time for lunch before taking an afternoon game drive to Samburu Game Reserve. This beautiful park is home to rarely found species such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, and blue-necked Somali ostrich beautiful.

   • Have dinner and stay the night at Camel Lodge.

2. Day 2: Full-day at Samburu National Park

   • Spend a whole day exploring Samburu Reserve and its diverse species of wildlife. The reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred to as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular for a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the lion, leopard, cheetah are important attractions.

   • Have dinner and stay the night at Camel Lodge.

3. Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru

   • After breakfast, depart Samburu National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley for Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the world’s well-known bird sanctuaries for birdwatching lovers.

   • Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch freely as you refresh waiting for a wonderful afternoon game drive.

   • At 03:30 pm, depart for an afternoon game drive, a wonderful afternoon game viewing, birdwatching until late evening. 

   • Have dinner and stay the night at the budget hotel.

4. Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara

   • Depart from Lake Nakuru National Park for Maasai Mara with lunch en route. Drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a chance to take photos with an incredible view of the valley. 

   • Proceed to the Maasai Mara National Reserve with lunch in the Narok town. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration. It is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino.

   • On arrival, proceed for an evening game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. 

   • Have dinner and stay the night at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

5. Day 5: Full-day at Maasai Mara

   • After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife, including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is, without a doubt, one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. Between July and October, things get busy in the Great Migration. Millions of zebra and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard. 

   • The guide will make sure that you get the best photographic opportunities as well as enriching you with the different amazing cultural practices of the local communities of Maasai people.

   • Have dinner and stay the night at Miti Mingi eco-camp.

6. Day 6: Maasai Mara - Nairobi

   • In the early morning, you will go on a short game drive in the park. Then, depart from the Masai Mara region for Nairobi with lunch en route.

   • Arrive in the evening with a drop-off at the airport—bid farewell to your guide with a promise to join the team on another adventure.
