Description
Travel from Nairobi to enjoy a 4-day safari tour of Mount Elgon National Park, located northeast of Lake Victoria and bisected by the border of Kenya and Uganda. Visit Mount Elgon, an extinct shield volcano located in the Kenyan-Ugandan border. Look for a variety of small antelopes and duikers, as well forest monkeys, including the black-and-white colobus and blue monkey. Travel to the lower slopes of the park and spot some elephants and buffalos.

Day 1: Nairobi–Mount Elgon National Park
- Pick up from the hotel in Nairobi at 8:00 am and travel to Mount Elgon National Park.
- Stop by Lake Nakuru for lunch and shop for souvenirs at nearby local stalls.
- Arrive at the park by 6:00 pm.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kapkuro Bandas.

Day 2: Mount Elgon National Park Tour
- Rise early in the morning and start the day excursion after breakfast.
- Explore the lower circuit of the park.
- Visit Chesurur waterfalls, Kitum and Makingeny caves.
- Hike to Entebbe’s Bluff.
- Continue to the Elephant platform and spot some elephants.
- Enjoy an evening game drive and see Columbus monkeys, waterbucks and other animals.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kapkuro Bandas.

Day 3: Mount Elgon National Park Hiking Tour
- Rise early in the morning and start the day excursion after breakfast.
- Drive to the left end of the park and hike the summit of Mount Elgon National Park.
- Return to Kapkuro Bandas and have lunch.
- Visit the educational center at the park for more information on this beautiful conservation area.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kapkuro Bandas.

Day 4: Mount Elgon National Park–Nairobi
- Check out Kapkuro Bandas after breakfast and leave for Nairobi.
Return to the hotel in Nairobi.
