Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

   • Meet your African driver/guide at your Nairobi hotel at 7 am for a trip briefing before heading to the Maasai Mara. Along the way, drive through the striking western walls of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch.

   • Have your first Mara experience, which will take place with an afternoon game drive through this special place. 

2. Day 2 - A Day In Mara

   • A full day of game viewing awaits in the stunning Maasai Mara grasslands, providing a uniquely African panorama to compliment the many photographs you’ll no doubt be taking of animal encounters. 

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch at a hippo pool in the bush, and afterwards, pick from the option of continuing with your safari or visiting a traditional Maasai village.

3. Day 3 - Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha

   • After breakfast, depart for lovely Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake brimming with flamingos, hippos and hundreds of other bird species. 

   • Stop for lunch on the way, and that afternoon, there are plenty of ways you can enjoy the lake from a boat trip to see the hippos up close, cycling, fishing or bird watching.

4. Day 4 - Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

   • Shortly after breakfast, depart for Nakuru National Park, a Rift Valley soda lake made famous for its huge population of pink flamingos that line the shores of Nakuru in their thousands, sometimes millions. 

   • Have your best chance of seeing both black and white rhino during your game drive. Both species are protected by a sanctuary, so the park enjoys high concentrations of these rare animals. Lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and waterbuck are also abundant.

5. Day 5 - Nakuru to Nairobi

   • Once you’ve finished breakfast, take one last safari in this incredible park before heading back to Nairobi with a stop for lunch along the way.
