Do an easy hike on this Elephant Hill to reach the Aberdare National Park, which is situated on the southern end of the Aberdare mountain range. Spot a variety of wild animals and birds on your way as you follow the elephant trail up to the summit point in 11 hours.

Aberdare Mountain Range Hiking Tour
Pick-up from Nairobi around 06:00 am to avoid trekking in the hot sun during the day.
Pass through the beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley.
Stop for a few minutes on the way to witness the splendid sunrise.
On arrival at Elephant Hill (Aberdare Mountain Range), report to the Rangers who will give you an overview of the trek.
Begin the trek over relatively flat forest-covered terrain.
See the best views of the Great rift valley, Lake Naivasha, Longonot Ndakaini dam and Sasumua dam.
Spot elephants/tracks, Antelopes, Columbus monkeys and birds.
Take an ascent to reach the Bamboo zone. The occasional elephant footprint and droppings from various animal species can be seen.
Follow the trail descending into the clamp of trees before turning back upwards out of the small valley.
Get the first view of the summit after some time. The summit to the right- Kinangop, which is the second-highest peak on the Aberdares, can easily be accessed from this point.
Descend to the Forest station and celebrate the successful completion of hiking.
