Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

   • Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). 

   • Depart Nairobi and drive south along the floor of the Great Rift Valley.

   • Arrive at Mara in the afternoon for lunch and then head for an evening game drive at 4 p.m.

   Return for dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

2. Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

   • Leave for a full day game drive to the game centre, home to over 3 million large mammals. The game drive takes you on a search of animals: Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Hyena, Cheetah, Jackal, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope and different bird species.

   • Be served lunch at the Mara River as you enjoy the scenery.

   Dinner & Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

3. Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve to Lake Naivasha National Park

   • Head for an early morning game drive as you search for the cats on the hunt and return for breakfast.

   • Leave camp/lodge with game viewing en-route into the Great Rift Valley for Lake Naivasha.

   • Head for a boat ride to view the exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater lake.

   Overnight at the Lodge/ Camp.

4. Day 4: Lake Naivasha National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park

   • Leave camp/lodge with game viewing en-route into the Great Rift Valley for Lake Nakuru.

   • Visit one of the world’s well-known bird sanctuaries of Lake Nakuru National Park, exploring its diverse species of game and aviary.

   Overnight at Lodge.

5. Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park to Samburu National Park

   • Depart to Samburu Game Reserve after breakfast.

   • Arrive in time for lunch before taking an afternoon game drive. The beautiful park is home to rare species such as reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx and blue-necked Somali ostrich.

   Overnight at Samburu Lodge.

6. Day 6: Samburu National Reserve

   • Spend the day exploring the Samburu reserve and its diverse species of game.

7. Day 7: Samburu National Reserve to Aberdares National Park

   • Depart from Samburu to the Aberdare National park. The Park is home to the second largest herd of endangered black rhinos.

   • Drive through the park, which provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffaloes, warthogs, etc. bushbucks, among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Arrive in time for lunch and relax while waiting to go for the afternoon game drive.

   • Enjoy the beautiful sunset while watching all the animals found in the Aberdare National Park.

   Overnight at the Lodge.

8. Day 8: Aberdares National Park to Nairobi

   • Depart for a morning game drive.

   • Get back to the lodge for lunch and thereafter start the drive back to Nairobi. 

   • Drop off at the airport in time to connect with your outbound flight back home.
