Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

   • Depart from the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, drive down the escarpment via the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley.

   • Arrive at your overnight camp, located on the border of Masai Mara, in time for lunch.

   • Explore Masai Mara on your first game drive, getting a taste of what this legendary game park has to offer.

   • Stay in luxury safari tents overlooking the untamed savannah plains and woodlands of Masai Mara.

   • Hear a chorus of different animal sounds at night, as the creatures of the wild communicate with each other in the darkness, more than enough reason to visit.

2. Day 2: Masai Mara

   • Spend the day game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara.

   • Game drive in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see an abundance of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common.

   • Witness the annual wildebeest exodus, the great migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti, searching for lusher grass before turning south again in October. Hot-air balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains teeming with wildlife. These Masai Mara balloon trips can be arranged at extra cost.

3. Day 3: Masai Mara

   • Enjoy game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara. 4. Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi

   • Depart from your safari camp and take a morning game drive through the Mara on day four.

   • Return to bustling Nairobi, arriving at about 2 pm in the afternoon.
