Itinerary
-
Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
- You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or at the airport and depart for Amboseli at 7:00 am. You will drive through the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway, arriving on time for lunch at the Amboseli AA Lodge. You will relax in the camp and prepare for the afternoon game drive starting at 3:00 pm. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game, which includes elephants, lions, and cheetahs, as well as the main attractions, as well as its great scenery and beauty.
- Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lakebed - Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava-strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored.
-
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
- An early start with a hearty breakfast prepares you for a full day of exploration through game drives, complete with a picnic lunch. On clear mornings, there's an excellent chance to catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The park thrives due to the water runoff from Africa's tallest mountain, sustaining its wildlife. Mount Kilimanjaro, often obscured by clouds, occasionally reveals its snow-covered magnificence, providing a stunning backdrop for wildlife photography.
- Enjoy unparalleled wildlife encounters as Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds. Witness these magnificent creatures up close during thrilling game drives, observing their natural behaviours and interactions. The park's unique ecosystem allows for intimate and awe-inspiring moments with one of Africa's most iconic and gentle giants.
- Despite its arid appearance, Amboseli has a rich history of supporting wildlife and the Masai, who historically grazed their cattle here. Visit Masai Village to gain insight into their lifestyle and cultural practices. Wind down your day with dinner and another peaceful overnight stay at the lodge.
-
Day 3: Amboseli - Nairobi
- After a morning game drive, you will leave Amboseli National Park and later proceed to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your home flight, ending what we believe is your lifetime safari.
