Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Mountain Lodge

   • On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be received by our staff and introduced to your safari guide.

   • Drive to Mountain Lodge in the Mount Kenya region. The tree lodge is built next to a waterhole where animals come to drink.

   • Relax for the rest of the day, watching the animal from the rooftop or the balcony.

   Dinner and overnight at the Serena Mountain lodge.

2. Day 2: Mountain Lodge to Samburu Game Reserve

   • At 08:30 am, after breakfast, load up and drive further north, across the equator to Samburu Game Reserve for a game drive.

   • Later, check-in at the Samburu Lodge and have lunch.

   • Relax for some time before taking the afternoon game drive in search of Oryx, Grévy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuks, Lions, leopards, and elephants.

   After sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 3: Samburu Game reserve

   • At 06:00 am, go for an early morning game drive in search of the cats and other animals.

   • Later, return to the lodge for breakfast.

   • Relax by the swimming pool for the rest of the day or visit the Samburu community who are closely related to the Masai people.

   • Go for another game drive in the afternoon. Drive deep into the semi-arid game reserve in search of more animals.

   • Return in the evening, before dark.

   Dinner and overnight.

4. Day 4: Samburu to Olpajeta Conservancy

   • At 07:30 am, after breakfast, check out, load up, and drive to Olpajeta Conservancy.

   • Enjoy a game drive en-route, and later, check-in at the Serena Sweetwaters luxury tented camp for lunch.

   • Relax for some time before heading out for the afternoon game drive around the park in search of the Big Five, including Rhino.

   • Also, visit the chimpanzees and the tamed rhino - Baraka.

   Later, return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

5. Day 5: Olpajeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

   • At 08:00 am, after breakfast, check-out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park through the Great Rift Valley.

   • Check-in at Flamingo Hill Luxury Camp and have lunch.

   • Later, head out for an afternoon game drive. Look out for rhinos and other animals, as well as flamingos and other waters birds.

   After the sunset, but before dark, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

6. Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha

   • At 06:00 am, after an early morning game drive, return to the camp for breakfast.

   • After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Naivasha.

   • Check-in at the Sopa Lodge, and relax before lunch is served.

   • After lunch, take a boat tour around the lake and a short walk around the crescent island.

   Later, return to Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

7. Day 7: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

   • After breakfast, check out and drive to the famous Masai Mara game reserve.

   • You will arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch.

   • After lunch, relax before going for the afternoon safari drive.

   • Drive deep in the Savannah grassland in search of the big pride of lions, rhinos and other animals that the park is famous for.

   • After sunset, return to the camp.

   Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

8. Day 8: Masai Mara

   • Breakfast will be served early.

   • Afterwards, head out with picnic lunch boxes and spend the day in the park, searching for the Big Five and other animals.

   • Drive to the Mara river to see the hippos and crocodiles; you might also be lucky and see the wildebeest migration and river crossing, of its the right time of the year.

   • Break for lunch under the acacia tree.

   • After lunch, continue with the safari drive before returning to Mara Sopa Lodge later in the evening. 

   Dinner and overnight.

9. Day 9: Masai Mara to Nairobi

   • Pre-breakfast, early morning game drive.

   • Return to the lodge for breakfast.

   • Check out and drive to Nairobi city, where you will be dropped off at the airport.
