Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdare National Park

   •  Pick up from the airport or your accommodation at Nairobi. Proceed to the Aberdare national park where you will have lunch at Treetops. The afternoon and evening will be spent game viewing. The Aberdare National Park is home to elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker.
   • Check-in to The Ark lodge for dinner where you will enjoy game viewing at a deck overlooking a waterhole.

   Overnight stay at Treetops.

2. Day 2: Aberdare - Samburu National Reserve

   • Depart from Samburu after breakfast and set out for Samburu National Reserve with a stopover at the equatorial crossing
   • Enjoy a short game drive en-route your lodge in Samburu. Have lunch at the lodge and relax till it is time for a game drive at 4:00 PM. Set out then to see some of Samburu's unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.

   Overnight: Sarova Shaba or equivalent

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

3. Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

   • Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique north Kenyan species such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of a desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals will be taken at the camp.

   Overnight: Samburu Shaba or equivalent

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

4. Day 4: Samburu - Sweetwaters

   • Have breakfast at camp in Samburu and immediately depart for Sweetwaters. This is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s Giraffe and Black Rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. 
   • Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

   Overnight: Sweetwaters

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

5. Day 5: Sweetwater - Lake Nakuru National Park

   • Leave Sweetwaters for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at the lodge/camp. 
   • Relax by the pool area and set out for a game drive at 4:00 PM. You will meet great masses of Flamingos as well as the endangered white and black rhino found in this park.

   Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill or equivalent

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

6. Day 6: Nakuru - Lake Naivasha National Park

   • Have breakfast and depart for Lake Naivasha which is less than 2 hours away from Nakuru. Arrive and check-in at the lodge by lunchtime. 
   • Have lunch and later enjoy a boat ride. This is a good chance to see numerous bird species and hippos. Enjoy the returning ride to the shore and head back to the lodge. Alternatively, have a game drive and hike in Hell's Gate.

   Overnight:  Simba Lodge

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

7. Day 7: Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

   • Have an early breakfast and depart for Masai Mara. Reach, have lunch, check-in and relax till 4:00 PM when we set out for a game drive. See the animals returning home and perhaps even catch a glimpse of a natural chase. Return to your lodge for dinner after the drive.

   Overnight: Enkorok Lodge or equivalent

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

8. Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve

   • A game viewing extravaganza, this day you can take unlimited game drives! Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals compared to any other wildlife park in the region. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. Picnic lunch shall be had by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe even the great migration (July-October). Optional activities for the day include balloon safari and a visit to the Masai Village.

9. Day 9: Masai Mara - Nairobi

   • Have breakfast at the camp and check out. Drive towards Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Alternatively, you can have a short trip to Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen or shop for souvenirs at Kazuri Beads. Afterwards, you will be dropped off at the hotel or airport.
