Travel to the depth of one of Africa's largest mountain ranges studded with at least a dozen peaks over the 4,000 m mark. Spot the Gelada baboons, Lammergeier vultures and also witness the spectacular Jinbar Waterfalls.
Itinerary

Day 1: Gondar to Sankobar
Meet your local tour guide at the agreed-upon location for pick-up and transfer.
Drive from Gondar to Debark.
Obtain a permit from the Park headquarters and collect our obligatory scout before continuing to Sankabar for the first overnight camp.
Begin the trek at Buytras.
Walk to the Sankabar campsite. See the Gelada baboons on the way.

Day 2: Sankabar to Geech
Walk to Geech via the spectacular Jinbar Waterfall.
Descend down to the Jinbar Wenz, which feeds the waterfall.
Go beyond Geech village for the campsite. The campsite has great views of the mountains and is characterized by giant lobelia plants. The nearby Kedadit summit provides one of the best places to see the sunset. The campsite is situated at 3,600 mts.

Day 3: Geech to Gondar
Trek from Geech to the Imet Gogo promontory for one of the most spectacular views in the whole mountain range.
See the magnificent Lammergeier vultures.
Trek back to the road near a village called Ambaras and meet the car for the drive back to Gondar.
