Trekking at Lake Tana
- Arrive at Bahir Dar airport, meet our excellent guide and driver and transfer to the hotel.
- After checking in to the reserved hotel and having breakfast, you will start the boat trip to Lake Tana, and when you reach the surface (Zegie peninsula), you will start to trek around Zegie (4 hours).
- During your visit, you will experience the authentic cultures and lifestyles of the community at Zegie Peninsula when they are farming and cooking traditional foods.
- Besides tourism, the primary income of the community is coffee plantation and harvesting. In the peninsula, an approximate number 10,000 people permanently live. Later to complete the trekking tours, you will visit the monasteries on the peninsula, such as Ura Kidanemihret, Azwa Maryam and Betre Maryam. Overnight, Camping at Zegie community house.
