Itinerary

1. Addis Ababa Bole International Airport

   • On your arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, the Ethiopia tour guide will pick you up and then, drive approximately 510 km via Butajira “Gurage Tribe”, Hosaena “Hadiya Zone” via Soddo “Wolayta Tribe” to finally arrive at Arba Minch.

   O/N in Arba Minch.

2. Arba Minch – Jinka

   • Today will be spent on exploring local Konso villages. From Arba Minch, travel to Jinka, some 290 km away.

   • Visit the Konso villages and then enter the Lower Omo Valley in Weito.

   • Meet the Tsemay tribe and reach Jinka for an overnight stay. 

3. Mursi Mago National Park

   • Early start, drive to the Mursi Mago National Park.

   • Visit the Mursi Tribals. Out of all the tribes, they do have rough village stays.

   Overnight stay at Turmi Lodge or something similar. 

4. Turmi

   • Interact and visit the Turmi Hamer Tribe. Observe their ceremonies and cultural programs. If possible, attend their Bull Jumping Ceremony or Wedding Ceremony or even plan a visit to the local schools.  

   O/N in Turmi. 

5. Dassenech & Hammer Tribal Visits

   • Do a visit to the unique tribe of Dassenech. This tribal village can only be reached by crossing a river. You will have the option to ride on a traditional boat without a motor, which is carved from a large tree trunk.

   • In the afternoon, visit a very remote village of the Hammer tribe with your Ethiopia tour guide.

   • At night, camp alongside this isolated tribe.

6. Nyangatom tribe & Karo tribe

   • Get an early start to this day and cross the Omo River to visit Nyangatom Tribal people.

   • In the afternoon, visit the Karo tribes living near Omo River.

   O/N in Turmi.

7. Benna Market

   • Drive to Benna to explore the local Benna market. See the Benna tribes here and enjoy a fabulous night of traditional dance and food.

   • Camp under the stars at the Benna tribe village. 

8. Arbore Tribe

   • Visit the Arbore tribe village, which farms on the shores of the Weito River.

   • Camp under the stars at the Arbore village for the night. 

9. Lake Chamo

   • In the morning, drive back to Arba Minch Paradise Lodge and enjoy a relaxing shower and rest.

   • In the late afternoon, sail out on a boat on Lake Chamo to see hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful aquatic birds.

   • Stay overnight at the hotel.

10. Airport

    • Take a full night’s rest, depart Arba Minch for Addis Ababa.

    • Stay overnight at the hotel.
