Go on a 6-day trek in Bale Mountains National Park from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Spend the nights in camps, spot the local wildlife, enjoy bird-watching and learn about the flora of the area. Have local meals, trek through the beautiful landscapes and enjoy the view of the National Park.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Addis Ababa
- Arrive at Addis Ababa airport, meet with the tour guide and drive to Dinsho town, where the Park's headquarters are.
- Begin with the hike at the National Park and spot some endemic/ endangered mammals such as Menilik’s Bushbuck, Mountain Nyala, Warthog, Reedbuck, Gray Duikers and Baboons.
- Look for Ethiopian endemic birds such as Black-headed siskin, Wattled ibis, and Abyssinian catbird in juniper woodlands in Bale Mountains HQ.
Overnight stay at Dinsho Campsite: 3100 above sea level.

Day 2: Trek from Dinsho to Sodota Campsite
- Have an early morning breakfast and begin the hike to Sodota, which is about 18 km long.
- Trek from Dinsho through the spectacular scenery of Web Valley towards the Fincha Habera waterfall, where the Web and Wolla rivers meet.
- Spot the endemic Ethiopian Wolf and raptors, rock hyrax, and endemic birds such as Blue Winged Goose. This will surely leave you excited and in awe of the actual wilderness of Bale mountains.
- Arrive at the campsite and have coffee/ tea along with dinner.
Overnight stay in Sodota Campsite: 3500 above sea level.

Day 3: Trek from Sodota to Wasema
- Trek to Wasama through beautiful landscapes with stunning views.
- Pass through Mararo Valley, where the Lammergeyer and Verreaux Eagles keep their nests.
- Spot the Ethiopian Wolf and numerous birdlife.
- Arrive at Wasema campsite after around 6-7 hours of trekking.
Overnight stay in Wasema Campsite: 3900 above sea level.

Day 4: Trekking to Sanneti Plateau
- Start the day by hiking through Wasama and then continue down into the Worgona Valley.
- Spot Falcons, raptors, and possibly the Ethiopian wolves.
- Pass through the most beautiful Afro-alpine moorland, beautiful wild alpine scenery and lakes on the plateau.
- Arrive at Sanneti campsite after around 7-8 hours of trekking.
Overnight stay in Sanneti Campsite: 4100 above sea level.

Day 5: Drive to Harenna Forest
- Have an early morning breakfast at the camp, meet with the driver and travel to Harenna Forest, the second-largest tropical rain forest in the country.
- On the way, spot the rare and endangered Canid species Ethiopian Wolf, Abyssinian Hare, water birds like Blue-winged Goose, Ruddy shell duck, Wattled Crane and others.
- Take a hike in the forest to reach the waterfall and the Bamboo trail. The endemic Bale Monkey will be seen in the area along with numerous bird species.
Overnight stay in Wabe Shabale Hotel in Harenna Forest.

Day 6: Departure from Addis Ababa
- Travel to Addis Ababa Airport for your flight back home.
