Description
Set foot on the spectacularly diverse and unique landscape of Bale Mountains National Park, which is marked by numerous glacial lakes, swamps and is surrounded by high volcanic ridges and peaks.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole international airport and meet your local tour guide for transfer service to the hotel for overnight.
Drive from Addis to the Bale Mountains which is 400 Km to the south-east of Addis admiring the landscape and the different cultural group of people
Overnight at lodge at the Headquarter of the park.

Day 2: Dinsho to Adelay
Start hiking from Dinsho to Adelay campsite at 16km.
Pass through Gaysay grassland to see most of the Antelope families such as mountain Nyala, Menelik Bushbuck and then to the woodland part of the National Park.
Overnight: Adelay campsite.

Day 3: Adelay to Sodota
Have your breakfast and head to Sodota across the moorland part of the NP and chance to see the rare and endangered canid Ethiopian Wolf on the 18km walk.
Overnight: Sodota campsite.

Day 4: Return to Dinsho
Head back to the start to the HQ of Bale Mountains National Park.
On the way chance to see the endemic Giant Mole Rat which is only found on Bale Highlands, Rock Hyrax and birds of prey.
Overnight: Dinsho campsite.

Day 5: Drive Back to Addis Ababa
Return to Addis Ababa.
Enjoy dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant featuring dancers and musicians representing some of the country's many ethnic groups.
Transfer to airport for departure.
