Itinerary

Day-1: Erta Ale tour
Take an early morning flight to Mekele and then drive towards Erta Ale Active Lava Lake. It is situated about 300 km away and the drive will be mostly on the newly built asphalt road. Hike for 3 hours to the summit of Erta Ale at night.
Arrive at Erta Ale and make a reconnaissance visit around the Lava Lake. The activity of the Lave Lake has turned it into a vigorous fountain which comes to life with volcanic river flows. During the night, it will be the best time as we arrive at the summit to visit the area.
Overnight stay at Erta Ale.

Day-2: Ahmed Ela drive
Descend down to the base camp where the cars are parked and the drive will continue to Ahmed Ela where Dallol Hydro Thermal action takes place.
Overnight camping stay at Ahmed Ela.

Day-3: Dallol active volcano
Visit Dallol active volcano. See colorful brine lakes, extensive salt plains with traditional salt working areas and other related geological areas.
Proceed to Mekele which is only 180 km away.
Get transferred to the airport for the evening flight back to Addis.
