Sign up for an adventurous trek in the Bale Mountains and find the Ethiopian wolves enroute. Hike Also, spot Menelik's bushbuck, mountain nyala, exclusively residing on these mountains. Hike to Sodota and relish at Habra waterfall. Camp at the Black Lake and enjoy the spectacular views as you come across several beautiful valleys and rifts.
Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains
- Drive from Addis Ababa to the Bale Mountains National Park.
- Arrive at the park headquarters in the afternoon and start your hike to spot two endemic mammals, Menelik’s bushbuck, mountain nyala, along with different varieties of birds.
Camp overnight near to the park entrance.

Day 2: Trek to Sodota
Walk through the park and spot Ethiopian wolves, raptors, rock hyrax and many more species.
Stop by Habera Waterfall and relax.
Upon arrival at Sodota campsite, rest for the night.

Day 3: Trek to Wasama
Trek to Wasama through a beautiful landscape with stunning views. Pass through Mararo Valley, where the lammergeyer and Verreaux Eagles keep nests. You can sight different varieties of birds here.
Upon arrival at Wasama, set camp and rest for the day.

Day 4: Trek to Gebre Guracha
Hike up to Mt. Wasama (4200m) and then descend into the Worgona Valley. Falcons, raptors are commonly seen here.
End your trek for the day at Lake Gebre Guracha, meaning 'black lake' in the Oromo language.
Camp overnight at Lake Gebre Guracha.

Day 5: Sanetti Plateau to Addis Ababa
Trek from Gebre Guracha to the Sanetti Plateau, from where you will return to Addis Abba.
