Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa to Mekele to Erta Ale
- Fly from Addis Ababa to Mekele. Upon arrival in Mekele, meet the tour manager and set out for a drive along the desert.
Reach Erta Ale by evening and enjoy the surroundings of the active volcano.
- Drive 30 km to the campsite for overnight stay.

Day 2: Hamed Ela & Danakil Depression
Set out early in the morning for Hamed Ela, a small village dependent on salt works.
Visit the Danakil Depression, the hottest place in the world.
- Return to campsite for overnight stay.

Day 3: Dallol & Return to Addis Ababa
After breakfast, set out for a drive towards Dallol.
Arrive in the cinder cone volcanic area that seems like another planet and explore its colourful hot springs.
Drive back to Mekele to catch the flight back to Addis Ababa on the same evening.
