Experience Ethiopia's cultural and natural wonders on this 6-day tour, starting with the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, including Bet Giyorgis. Journey to Semera and explore the active Erta Ale volcano and the surreal landscapes of Dallol. Conclude with a visit to the stunning salt lakes, including Lake Afdera, for a unique swimming experience.
Itinerary

Day 1: Lalibela
- Fly to Lalibela, take the airport transfer to the town, and visit the rock-hewn churches.
- After you check in at your hotel, we will drive to sites where we can find a concentration of some of Ethiopia's most famous rock-hewn churches. These churches are often referred to as "the living wonders of the world." They have been here for at least 900 years and are active Christian shrines, serving as spiritual centers of the country's religious life.
- Then, we will visit the Northwestern Clusters of churches, which include Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael, and Golgotha.
- After lunch, continue your visit to the Southeastern Cluster of Lalibela churches, including Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual, and Bet Abba Libanos.
- Finally, visit Bet Giyorgis, the most famous of all the churches. It is a huge monolithic structure in the shape of a cross, constructed in honour of St. George, the patron saint of Ethiopia.

Day 2: Lalibela - Semera
- After breakfast, we will drive from Lalibela to Semera within spectacular scenery. It is a 350 km, 7-hour drive.

Day 3: Semera - Erta Ale
- To drive from Semera to the volcano takes about 4 hours. You will visit Erta Ale, one of the most active volcanoes, and camp outside a little far from the volcano. The trek to the volcano is about 30 minutes, so you need to bring trekking shoes, a torchlight, and a mask.

Day 4: Dallol
- Early in the morning, you will head to the volcano to witness a beautiful sunrise. After that, you will have breakfast at the base camp and then drive for 4 hours to Hamedella.
- Once there, you will visit Dallol, known for its stunning colours, the salt lake, salt mountain, and a swimming pool. You will also visit Lake Asa Ale to watch the sunset before camping under the open sky.

Day 5: : Lake Afdera - Semera
- In the early morning, you will visit the sunrise and then continue driving to Lake Afdera, one of the biggest salt lakes. You will swim there, and after lunch, you will continue driving to Semera.

Day 6: Semera - Addis Ababa
- After breakfast, we will drive to Semera Airport for your flight to Addis.
