Itinerary
-
Kom Ombo Temple and Horus Temple
- At 7:00 am, a guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan for a one-day tour to Kom Ombo Temple, situated on high ground overlooking the Nile. This temple stands out from others due to its dual entrance, each dedicated to a different deity: "Haroeris" with a falcon head and "Sobek" with a crocodile head. The Kom Ombo temple was constructed to honour two gods: Sobek, the god of fertility depicted as a crocodile, and Haroeris, the ancient god with a falcon head, considered the world's creator.
- Enjoy lunch during the tour (box lunch included).
- Following this, you'll proceed to Edfu, where the Haroeris travelled by land to visit the magnificent temple dedicated to Horus. This temple is often regarded as the finest temple of worship in Egypt. According to Egyptian legends, it is the place where Horus, represented by the falcon, confronted Seth, who had killed his father, Osiris.
- At the conclusion of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in either Aswan or Luxor, depending on the customer's preference.
