Kalabsha Temple and Nubia Museum
- At 8:00 am, we will take you from your hotel in Aswan to enjoy a trip to Kalabsha Temple, which has been removed and identified on a hill near the Western Bank site. This temple was originally built by Toutmosis II and Amenophis II in Kalabsha, 40 miles south of Aswan. It was restored during the Roman period and then finished by the long-awaited Nubian Museum, which opened in 1997. This museum displays thousands of monuments that would have been lost under the waters of Lake Nasser. This museum takes its name from ancient Egyptian Nbu, in the sense of gold, in reference to the region's famous gold mines. Furthermore, you will enjoy Nubian life scenes that appear with a range of life-size screens.
