Abu Simbel Temples
- At 8:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive south to Abu Simbel with an air-conditioned car. The journey will take about 3 hours.
- During your visit to Abu Simbel, you will explore the Temples of Abu Simbel. These temples were saved from flooding through a collaboration between the Egyptian government and UNESCO. The Temple of Ramses II is dedicated to four global gods: Ptah, Amun Ra, Ramses II himself, and the return of his sister-in-law.
- The Great Temple of Abu Simbel, often called the Ramses II Temple, is an impressive structure. The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as the Temple of Hathor, represents a symbolic gathering of Nefertari, Ramses II, Hathor (the sun god's wife), and the Sun God.
- You will have approximately 3 hours to explore these temples before returning to Aswan by road.
