Explore:
The Valley of Queens, which is a site in Egypt, where the wives of pharaohs were buried in ancient times. It was known then as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning "the place of beauty".
The Village of the workers also known as Deir Al-Medinah is the lone example of a well-preserved Egyptian village near Luxor. Kings and queens did not live here; this was the home of the craftsmen that served them.
The Temple of HabuIts is the holy ground that was believed to be where the Ogdoad, the four pairs of first primaeval gods, were buried. Medinet Habu was both a temple and a complex of temples dating from the New Kingdom.
