Itinerary

1. Day 1: Pyramids Tour

   • Pick up by an Egypt travel representative at Port Said and get transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle.

   • Visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus with your Egyptologist guide.

   • Proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren.

   • Head to visit the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren.

   • Discover the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure, built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser.

   • Have lunch at a local restaurant.

   Overnight in Cairo.

2. Day 2: Egyptian Museum / Salah Din Citadel

   • Have an early breakfast at the hotel.

   • Visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. 

   • Discover a rare collection of 5000 years of art, which are considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian artefacts in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen.

   • Savour lunch at a local restaurant.

   • Proceed to Salah El Din Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Muhammad Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt for over 45 years.

   • Explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East.

   • Travel via air-conditioned modern vehicle to the Port.
     Return back to the cruise for your final departure.
