Moses Mountain Climb and St. Catherine Monastery Visit
Pick up from your hotel in Taba by a private air-conditioned vehicle at 10:30 pm.
Drive to St. Catherine city, which takes about two and a half hours.
Upon arrival, start climbing Moses Mountain at 2:00 am and descend by 7:00 am.
Proceed to visit St. Catherine Monastery, named after St. Catherine, who lived in Alexandria during the persecution of Christians.
Discover the story of how she was tortured by the Romans for her loyalty to Christianity and was beheaded. Five centuries later, a monk saw a vision in which her body was carried by angels and laid on a peak of the mountain in Sinai. Therefore, monks carried her relics to the church beside the monastery, which was named after her.
