1. Itinerary for a Full-Day Sightseeing Tour in Cairo

   Morning Departure

   • Pick up from your hotel in Cairo in a private vehicle for a day of sightseeing.

   Stop 1: Saladin's Citadel

   • Explore Saladin's Citadel, a massive fortress built in the 12th century by the famous Sultan Saladin. This monumental building once housed the palaces of the sultan and served as the seat of power until the end of the 19th century.
   • Visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, built during the Ottoman era in the 19th century. Its architectural style is inspired by Istanbul mosques, with a vast 21-meter dome that rises to 52 meters in height.
   • Visit the Mosque of El-Nasser Mohammed, a beautiful Mamluk-era mosque from 1315 built by Sultan El-Nasser Mohammed.

   Stop 2: The Madrasa and Mosque of Sultan Hassan

   • Visit the Madrasa and Mosque of Sultan Hassan, often referred to as the "pearl of Islamic architecture." Built in 1356 during the Mamluk period, it served as both a mosque and a school for the four Islamic doctrines. The mosque is renowned for its grandeur and intricate design, with a 38-meter high entrance and covering an area of 7,900 m².

   Stop 3: El-Rifa'i Mosque

   • Explore the El-Rifa'i Mosque, located directly opposite the Sultan Hassan Mosque. Known for its elegant design, the mosque is home to royal tombs, including those of Ismail Pasha, King Fuad, King Farouk, and the Shah of Iran and his father.

   Stop 4: Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun

   • Visit the Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, one of the largest and oldest mosques built in Islamic Egypt. Constructed in 878 by Sultan Ahmed Ibn Tulun, the mosque is famous for its beautiful gypsum ornamentation and unique spiral minaret with an external staircase—one of a kind in Egypt.

   Stop 5: Gayer Anderson's House

   • Tour Gayer Anderson's House, a fascinating museum housed in two medieval homes. One was built in 1632, and the other in 1540, both with distinctive architectural styles of the time. In the 20th century, British officer and doctor Gayer Anderson restored the houses and furnished them with his collection of art objects. The museum is renowned for its furniture, glassware, crystal, carpets, and silks, and has been featured in films such as The Spy Who Loved Me.

   • End your day with a return to your hotel in Cairo in the late afternoon.
