Explore the Different Faces of Cairo
- Begin your tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which contains about 120,000 objects and the collection of King Tutankhamen. Here, you will get to see the mask, the Golden Throne and the golden coffin of the famous Pharaoh.
- Visit the 12th-century citadel of Cairo, one of the biggest Islamic citadels in the world. Explore some of its most beautiful mosques, such as the alabaster mosque known as the Mohamed Ali mosque, which dates back to 1848.
- Set out for an exploration of Coptic Cairo. Visit the Hanging Church that dates back to the 5th Century. See the Holy Crypt where the holy family - Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus - hid for 7 days when they escaped from the emperor of Jerusalem. Also pay a visit to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is the oldest surviving synagogue in Egypt.
Send some time shopping and exploring Egyptian wares at the Khan El Khalili bazaar.
