St. Catherine Monastery & Mount Sinai Sunrise Excursion
- You will be transferred at approximately 10 pm (exact details will be confirmed after booking the tour) from your hotel by an air-conditioning vehicle.
- Drive to Jabal Moussa (or the city of Saint Catherine), away from Sharm, about 230 km, and it will take about two and a half hours to get there.
- Upon arrival, get accompanied by a Bedouin guide who will explain the path that takes about two hours to walk and then you will find approximately 750 steps to reach the top.
- Start climbing the Moses Mountain at 2:00 am and come down at 7:00 am.
- Proceed to visit St. Catherine Monastery, which is considered one of the most famous monasteries in the world, and it was dedicated to one of Alexander’s rulers, Saint Catherine who was tortured to death for the sake of her new faith. (You can travel to Mount Sinai to climb the mountain during the day to see the sunset from atop Moses’ Mountain)
- Transfer to Dahab for relaxation with time for shopping.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Dahab. Back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
