Giza, Saqqara and Memphis Excursion
- Upon arrival, your Egyptologist tour guide and manager will be waiting inside the Alexandria Port for you. They will be holding a sign showing your name. You do not need to look for them – they will be waiting for you and will find you.
- Drive to the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus.
- Visit The Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple & many outstanding photo stops and then a wonderful afternoon to explore Sakkara, a cemetery for Memphis. Sakkara is 27-km southwest of Cairo.
- Then, head to the Step Pyramids of Sakkara, the first proper Pyramids built for king Zose. It is considered an evolution of the Pyramid from the simple Mastaba to the Pyramid in its known form.
- Next, proceed to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where the Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are located.
- Finally, you will be escorted back to Alexandria, where you will have the opportunity to take photos of the famous library of Alexandria and the site of the lighthouse and then drive back to your cruise ship 2 hours before your departure time.
