Itinerary

1. Day 1: Land in Alexandria

   • Meet your tour guide in Alexandria Airport and make your way to the hotel.

   • Have an overnight stay in Alexandria.

2. Day 2: Sightseeing in Alexandria

   • Eat a hearty breakfast and set out to explore Alexandria with your tour guide.

   • Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit its open court and free museums. 

   • Visit the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey.

   • Explore the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens.

   • Continue your tour by visiting the biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.

   • After having lunch, discover the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa.

   • Drive along Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the seaside which includes the old harbour of Alexandria.

   • Visit the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria.

   • Explore the old downtown of Alexandria and walk through the old city-centre of Alexandria: built by Alexander the Great.
   • Retire to the hotel for the night.
     
     

3. Day 3: Explore Cairo and Giza

   • Have a hearty breakfast and set out to explore Cairo and Giza..

   • Start your tour by visiting the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions & Sphinx in Giza.

   • Proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world.

   • An optional evening trip to the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area is also suggested.

   • Make your way back to the hotel in Alexandria for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Depart Alexandria

   • Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

   • Make your way to the airport for your departure.
