Begin your full-day tour with a visit to the paleontological site of Wadi El Hitan (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Then, take the easy hike to Mudwara Mountain on your way to see the natural depression of Wadi El Rayan.

Wadi El Rayan Tour
- Pick up from your hotel in Cairo to enjoy Faiyum's natural wonders. (Cairo to Fayoum is about 95 km)
- Start the Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales) with your Egypt tour guide. This is the site where some of the earliest remains of whales have been found.
- Proceed to Wadi El Rayan Water Falls, and visit Mudawara Mountain en-route. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression located in the western desert, 42m below sea level. It consists of two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage water from the farmlands in Fayoum.
- Late lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After that, transfer back to Cairo.
