Itinerary

1. Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo and Al Darb Al Ahmar Street

   • Get picked up by your Egypt tour representative from your hotel in Cairo and start the tour. 
   • Transfer to discover one of the seven wonders of the world, the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) and 3 small pyramids. 
   • Continue to explore the rest of the Giza plateau, including the sight of Khafre's (Kaphren) pyramid, the second-largest pyramid on the Giza site, the remains of the Funeral temple, the pyramid of Mankawra( Mykerinus) and 3 small pyramids. 
   • Proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren.
   • Pay a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of Chephren. This temple served two functions: First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for making the Mummification process of the king. 
   • After visiting the pyramids, continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands.
   • Then move to The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum, in Cairo, Egypt. It is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, which dates back to over 5000 years of art and is considered the world's largest collection of Egyptian art.
   • Explore the Citadel of Salah al-Din, which was built under the order of Saladin between 1176 and 1183 to protect the city from European attacks. Today, it is one of the main tourist attractions of Cairo and offers privileged views of the city, where you will see the view of all of Cairo, 
   • Head to the Mohamed Ali "Alabaster Mosque," which is considered the largest to be built at the beginning of the 19th century by the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt for over 45 years. It is built in Turkish style.
   • Visit the Old Cairo. First, visit the Babylon Fortress, known as the Wax Palace or Babylon Castle. It is an ancient fortress and is considered one of the largest fortresses witnessed and built by the Roman civilization in Egypt. It is also the center in which the city of Fustat was built.
   • Go to the fascinated built wonders such as the Hanging Church that was built between the 3rd and beginning of the 4th century. It is built in the Basilica style. 
   • Visit the church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, which has a special place among the other Coptic churches as it is linked to the path of the Holy Family during their escape from King Herod to the land of Egypt. According to Christian belief, the name of the church is attributed to both Saints Sergius and Bacchus, who were martyred in the region of Rusafa in Syria.
   • No one can be in Coptic Cairo without visiting the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Cairo, called El-Shamieen Church, and now located behind the "Hanging Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary".
   • Pay a visit to Amr Ibn El-Aas mosque, the very first mosque built in Egypt. 
   • After that explore the important mosques and high places of worship of the Islamic faith in Cairo. With 80 percent of its population as Islam, see amazing architecture built here. Appreciate it for its artistic mosques built for worship. 
   • Then, explore the Mosques, places, streets and neighbourhoods. Take a stroll around one of the oldest streets in Egypt, Al Moez Le Din Allah Street. It is an eloquent site of historical Cairo with various monuments spread along both sides of the street, such as Bab El Fetouh and Bab El Nasr. 
   • Then move towards the northern side of the city, in El Darb El Asfar, the most Ancient quarter of Islamic Cairo monuments, where you will visit the Barqouq mosque, School in Nahassen, El Aqmar Mosque, the Mosque of El Saleh Tale, the Blue Mosque, the Dome, Hospital and School of Qalawoon etc. Also, you will be able to visit Bayt El Sehaymi, which is 350 years old. 
   • Go for a walk on Al Darb Al Ahmar Street. The Darb al-Ahmar area hosts several other interesting trades and crafts. Facing Bab Zuweila and going further up north in Suq al-Selah Street, you will come across the Saddlemakers Market called Suq al-Surugiyyiah which produces all kinds of leatherware. From here, we will be in Al Moez Street, The most beautiful Islamic street in Cairo. 
   • Return to the hotel.
