Itinerary

1. Day 1: Cuenca to Limon

   • Meet your local tour guide at 9:30 am at the tour provider's office in Cuenca and start your journey to Morona Santiago in el Oriente.

   • Arrive at your hotel in Limon at noon.

   • Have a good lunch and see the small town for a while. 

   • Drive to the waterfalls where you will do canyoning. The amazing waterfalls are located in the rainforest and are great for a little adventure in the jungle.

   • Return to Limón for a delicious dinner.

2. Day 2: Macas

   • Enjoy your breakfast and drive to Macas. 

   • Stop at a Shuar community for a walk to some waterfalls on the way.

   • Watch some typical dances presented which will be followed by a traditional meal.

   • Arrive at the Upano River in Macas and get on the boats. 

   • While navigating on the category 3 river, you can enjoy beautiful views at the waterside onto the jungle.

   • Return to Macas and have a hearty dinner before settling down at the hotel.

3. Day 3: Animal Rehabilitation Center

   • Start your morning after breakfast with a visit to an Animal Rehabilitation Center.

   • See animals that are typical in the Amazon rainforest, like jaguars and other wild cats as well as parrots, monkeys, sloths and tapirs, to name just a few of them.

   • Have lunch and return to your hotel, get your luggage and depart back to Cuenca.
