Sign up for this excursion to explore the incredible Cotopaxi Active Volcano, the world's highest active volcano, which is surrounded by lakes and highland grasses. Walk around the lake of Limpiopungo to observe exuberant flora and fauna in the area and take in panoramic views of the Cotopaxi Volcano. Embark on an excursion to Quilotoa to explore a volcanic crater with a beautiful emerald-coloured lake inside. Travel around Tigua town to understand the culture and traditions of villagers and admire local artisans' painting and pottery skills.
Itinerary

Cotopaxi and Quilotoa
- Connect with your tour guide by 7am., who will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation, to start the itinerary.
- Drive for around 90 minutes to reach Cotopaxi ranger station.
- From there, shift the car and get on a four-wheeler car to get to 14,700 feet.
- In 45 more minutes, get to the parking and walk to get to the refuge, which is on 16000 feet. Walking lasts around 40 minutes. We have to finish this part of our tour in 4 hours. Optionally, We can walk around a lake, a place to walk and see birds. it takes 1 hour in total, it is easier than walking up to the refuge.
- Once We end here We start our driving to go Quilotoa. It takes 2 hours from Cotopaxi entrance to get Quilotoa. I believe we coudl start at Quilotoa around 2 pm.
- Next, explore the inactive Quilotoa Volcano.
- Walk to Quilotoa Lake, an awe-inspiring water-filled crater volcano lake. This incredible lake is filled with blue turquoise water and is surrounded by giant sheer cliffs.
- Have a delicious lunch meal. You can try local food.
- Return to Quito by 7:00 pm, where the tour ends.
