Itinerary

1. Day 1: Italia/Marrakech

   • Arrival at Marrakech airport, accommodation in the hotel Riad Mulay Said 3***.

   • Overnight in Marrakech.

2. Day 2: Marrakech

   • Visit the city of Marrakech. 

   • Overnight stay in Marrakech hotel Riad Mulay Said 3***.

3. Day 3: Marrakech / Kasbah di AIT YOULVALLÉE and Dades

   • After breakfast, departure towards the Tichka Pass (2260m), the highest road in Morocco. Magnificent, panoramic with landscapes of green forests of oaks and pines, beautiful Berber villages clinging to the rock walls to protect themselves from floods. 

   • After the Tichka pass, we dive into the semi-arid areas of southern Morocco. 

   • Lunch in Ouarzazate, then we continue passing by the date palm grove of Skoura, then by Kelaa and the Mgouna Fortress and finally the Dades Valley with its beautiful kasbahs. 

   • In the late afternoon you arrive at Ait Youl of Dades. Accommodation in a family (326 km)

4. Day 4: Kasbah di AIT YOUL DE DADES/AGUERZAKA

   • Once we reach our new means of transport, the mules, we begin the trek in the Dades Valley. We come across many terraces planted with corn, barley and roses along the Wadi Dades, in the heart of the valley. 

   • We then leave this beautiful valley crossing a dry and arid area to finally reach the green valley of Ouzighimt. 

   • Lunch at the village of Ighrem N'Aqdim, then departure for the village of Aguerzaka. 

   • The water is abundant in the shade of the gorge we are forced to walk in the water, provide suitable footwear. 

   • Duration: 5 hours on foot.

5. Day 5: Aguerzaka / Alemdoune

   • We leave this green valley with its beautiful gorge and kasbahs 200 m uphill to the pass that takes us through a juniper forest into another valley. 

   • Once again a beautiful village with hundreds of characteristic houses. 

   • Lunch in the Ameskar TAHTANI valley, then continue on a good trail through villages to Alemdoune (1700m). 

   • Bivouac at the entrance of the Assif n'Ouguiti gorge, outside the village where the valley of roses begins. 

   • Duration: 5 hours on foot.

6. Day 6: Alemdoune / Boutaghrar

   • A leisurely descent into the valley, occasionally crossing narrow gorges surrounded by oleanders. 

   • Then suddenly the beautiful kasbah village Amejgag appears before us. 

   • Lunch on the river near the village of Aznag. 

   • You cross the small ford to reach the village of Boutaghrar. 

   • We spend the night with a family from Moulay. 

   • Duration: 5h on foot.

7. Day 7: Boutarhrar / Tabarkhacht

   • We are in the heart of the valley of roses. 

   • We reach the valley where we camped on day 3. The kasbahs are many, the rose fields are emerging around the cereal crops (barley, corn, potatoes ...). 

   • These rose fields are completely fenced to prevent access by sheep and goats and are used for the production of rose water. 

   • We then go down to Ait Said Hdida where we set up camp. 

   • Duration: 5h 30 on foot.

8. Day 8: Tabarkhacht / Merzouga

   • After breakfast, we leave the valley of roses and in air-conditioned minibus we head towards the great Moroccan dunes along the road of a thousand kasbahs.

   • Visit of the Todra Gorges, lunch in Tinejdad. Passing through Rissani we reach Merzuga for dinner and overnight stay in a Kasbah at the foot of Erg Chebi. (240 km) Hotel Palais des Dunes

9. Day 9: Merzuga / Quarzazate

   • After breakfast departure for the valley of Deraa and Quarzazade passing through Alnif and Tzarine. Lunch in Nkob and continuation to Quarzazade. 

   • Visit of the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou in the afternoon, dinner and overnight in Riad in Ait Benhaddou. (315 km)

10. Day 10: Ait Benhaddou / Marrakech

    • After breakfast, departure for Marrakech via the Tichka pass, lunch during the transfer.

    • In the first part of the journey we will travel through the Oumila valley with its picturesque mountain villages and we will stop to visit the Ksar of Telouet.

    • Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel Riad Mulay Said 3***. (370 km )
