Itinerary

1. Day 1: Algiers - Timimoun

   • Early morning drive to Houari Boumediene domestic airport (5 minutes from the International Airport).
   • Flight to Timimoun.
   • Arrival at Timimoun domestic Airport and transfer to the residence in the City Centre (5 Kms).
   • Short visit to the ancient city after reaching the destination and installation.
   • After lunch, move to the Taoursit Oasis.
   • Dinner at Taoursit Oasis followed by a traditional folk soirée.
   • Return to the residence or similar.

2. Day 2: Timimoun

   • Early morning visit to the famous irrigation system of the Foggaras (hydraulic heritage) of Ouled Said.
   • Exploration of the castles of Kali.
   • Traditional lunch on the sand dunes.
   • Afternoon visit to Hadj Guelmane, the cave, and the castles of Ighzer.
   • Enjoying the sunset on the sand dunes while having dinner.
   • Return to the residence.
   • Evening entertainment with traditional dance using musical instruments Qraqeb and hand-made drum.

3. Day 3: Timimoun - El-Golea

   • Morning visit to the oasis of Ksar Kaddour.
   • Lunch break.
   • Departure to El-Meniaa (ex-El-Goléa), known as the Pearl of the Oases.
   • El-Goléa is situated on the Grand Erg Occidental, renowned for mineral water and agricultural products.
   • Arrival at El-Goléa after a 4-hour bus journey.
   • Check-in at the guest house or similar.
   • Lunch at the guest house or similar.

4. Day 4: El-Goléa

   • Morning visit to the 9th-century Citadel, known as 'Vieux Ksar,' situated on a 75 m high hill.
   • Exploration of the old castle, a historical refuge for ancestors over centuries.
   • Visit the unique Sahara museum in the town centre, which houses collections gathered for decades by René Le Clerc (b. 1925- d. 2010).
   • Lunch break.
   • Visit the church of Bel-Bachir, which is in close proximity to the tomb of the Catholic priest Charles De Foucauld.
   • Enjoying the sunset on the dunes while having dinner.
   • Return to the residence.

5. Day 5: El-Goléa

   • Morning drive to the lake (4 km) from the city centre.
   • En route to the beautiful oasis on the outskirts of the town (40 km), spending a delightful day.
   • Moving to the hills of the sand dunes to enjoy the sunset.
   • Evening filled with a traditional soirée featuring a horse parade.
   • Return to the residence.

6. Day 6: El-Golea - Algiers

   • Morning Visit the town and souvenir shops.
   • Afternoon transfer to El-Golea domestic airport (near the city center).
   • Flight to Houari Boumediene domestic Airport.
   • Transfer to the hotel or Houarri Boumediene International Airport.
   • Assistance provided until the departure of the guests to their country.
