Prague Highlights Tour
- Meet your guide in the heart of the Old Town at the threshold of the Charles Bridge and set off on a magical journey through time. On this unique tour, you will learn the most interesting stories of more than a thousand years of Prague history and admire the extraordinary richness of Prague architecture. See the variety of styles and the art of the old masters, which will accompany us at every step.
- Begin with a romantic stroll across the Charles Bridge, enjoying the breathtaking view of the Castle panorama, after which you sink into the streets of the Lesser Town.
- Take a tram and enjoy the beautiful view on our way up to Prague Castle.
- As you stroll through the ancient seat of the Czech kings and emperors, carried away by the monumental splendour of the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, your guide will reveal more from the glorious royal past of the Czech Lands.
- Continue to the Jewish Quarter, once the largest Jewish settlement in Europe. Here in the area with an unusual mysterious atmosphere, we will find some exceptionally preserved synagogues and the ancient Old Jewish Cemetery. The walk's highlight is the Prague Old Town with the beautiful Old Town Square. This old marketplace, originally built in the 11th century, is Dominated by the splendid Church of Our Lady Before Týn and the Old Town Hall. Here, as a living witness of history, the Prague Astronomical Clock has been measuring time for more than six centuries.
- Now is the time for a well-deserved rest and refreshment. You are warmly welcome to enjoy an excellent lunch in one of the traditional Prague pubs. Taste typical Czech food and maybe even a glass of fine Czech beer.
- After lunch, you will have an opportunity to explore some of the most picturesque narrow streets of medieval Old Town on your way to the pier. Now, pleasantly tired, you hop aboard a fully wooden boat built in the tradition of the 19th century and your Vltava River cruise can start. Do not forget to have your camera ready to capture snaps of some of Prague’s legendary landmarks as you go, now from a different perspective. In winters, the guests are kept warm by period stoves and hot wine. In summer, they are served cold beer or soft drinks accompanied by a sweet treat.
- After your cruise, you have a unique chance of a free visit to the Charles Bridge Museum, which is located at the very same spot.
- End the tour in front of the Charles Bridge, at Krizovnicke square, by the Statue Charles IV.
