Itinerary
-
Sea Caves, Lara Bay, & Akamas Peninsula Tour
- Start the day with your arrival (or hotel pick up) 30 minutes before departure at our main shop in Poseidonos Avenue situated in Aliathon Complex. At the shop, you will get to meet your Cypriot guides, who will provide you with the necessary instructions on how to operate your vehicle safety.
- Drive a Quad bike or a UTV buggy 4x4 through the Western part of Cyprus.
- Drive through Paphos Harbour, Tomb of the Kings and also Coral Bay areas. During this half, you will also visit the Sea-Caves area, which became even more popular after the 2011 ship-crash of Edro III, now a shipwreck visible very close to the shore.
- At the Sea-Caves, relax, view the sights and take photos as there is a 10 minute break time.
- Enter the Akamas Peninsula, and explore the semi-desert peninsula of low-height flora. As a UNESCO Heritage Site, it offers some 230 sq km of off-road land to explore.
- Visit Lara Bay (Turtle Bay) which is a famous birthplace of rare Caretta-Caretta turtle species. Learn more about the turtle conversation by reading notes at the small information unit at the beach. If you are travelling during the hatching period, which is around August, then there are high chances to observe the small turtles making their first steps at sea.
- Enjoy a swim or relax at the local restaurant (snacks and drinks available for purchase) before the final drive back.
