Description
Go for a 3-day sightseeing tour of famous places in Cyprus, starting from St. Barnabas Monastery, dedicated to the patron saint of Cyprus, Saint Barnabas near Famagusta. Then, visit popular sights in Kyrenia including the magnificent Bellapais Monastery and the ancient Kyrenia Castle. Also, learn about Paphos Gate and pass through Ottoman houses in Nicosia.

Day 1: Famagusta Tour
Meet your tour guide at the airport in Ercan or Larnaca by your tour guide and travel to the east of the island from Kyrenia.
Make your first stop at St. Barnabas Monastery. Barnabas is one of the saints who started spreading Christianity with St. Paul. His Tomb and Monastery with icons will be visited.
Have a swim break, if it's not winter, in the clear water of the blue Mediterranean Sea, or more time will be spent in the medieval city of Famagusta.

Day 2: Kyrenia Tour
Go to visit the sights in Kyrenia. Make the first stop at St. Hilarion Castle. It is said that Walt Disney's production of 'Snow White and 7 Dwarfs' was inspired by this castle.
Head to your second stop at 'Bellapais Monastery'. This building is a masterpiece of Gothic art and the most beautiful one in the Near East.
Savour your lunch (extra) taken at the restaurant facing the historical Abbey. At the restaurant, you can also taste the Turkish dessert.
Come to the next stop of the day at 'Kyrenia Castle.' This castle was built during the Byzantine Period in 4 AD due to Arab attacks.
See why the 'Ship Wreck Museum' is a place to visit. The museum exhibits date back to 2320 years and includes the ship's final cargo, amphoras, olive seeds, fig seeds, almond seeds, with many other items that it was found in the ship outside the Kyrenia harbour by a Greek Cypriot sponge diver.
End up at your last stop in Kyrenia Harbor. This is a relaxing tour while you enjoy the history and the scenery.

Day 3: Nicosia Tour
Learn about Paphos Gate, which is one of the gates that was built during the Lusignan period to enter the walled city of Nicosia after becoming the capital of the island. There were three gates that were in use to enter the city, out of which, you will visit two.
Start your tour from there and walk to Ledra Street crossing while you pass through the historical old houses that were built during the Ottoman period.
Cross the border, and you'll see St. Sophia Cathedral, Bedesten, Buyuk Han, Closed Market, Arasta, Samanbahce Houses and the second gate of the walled city of Nicosia. This gate is known as Kyrenia Gate. While you get to see the historical sights, you will have time to take photos and hear all about the history of the Byzantine, Lusignan, Venetian, Ottoman and English periods.
Have free time for lunch and for shopping.
At the end of the tour, transfer to the airport for departure.
