Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrival in Havana

   • You will be welcomed at Havana Airport and guided to your private transfer in a classic American car from Havana airport to your accommodation in Havana.

2. Day 2- Explore Havana

   • Start of your private tour with private guide. 
   • Beginning with a sightseeing tour of Havana in a classic American car, including a stop at the Revolution Square. 
   • Continue the tour on foot, exploring Old Havana, including the four major squares and visits to the Capitanes Generales museum, the Rum museum and enjoying a Mojito cocktail at Bodeguita del Medio.

3. Day 3- Havana in Culture

   • Today, we explore the rich culture and art of Havana, starting with a visit to the Callejon de Hamel, an artist's collective situated in a beautifully decorated alley, filled with murals, poems and statues made by local artists. 
   • On Sundays, there is a rumba session with live music and performative rites of the Santeria syncretic faith. 
   • Afterwards, we will visit Fusterlandia, a small neighborhood decorated with mosaics for a surreal effect. 
   • And finally, we will visit the Finca Vigia, where renowned US writer Ernest Hemingway lives for years. The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure with the private guide at your disposal.

4. Day 4- Westwards nature

   • We will drive to Viñales, with stops along the way at Soroa to visit the orchid garden and waterfalls for an optional swim.
   • Afterwards, we continue to Viñales and visit a local tobacco farm. 
   • Viñales lies in the heartlands of Cuba's tobacco production region and we will learn all about the process of how tobacco is grown, dried and rolled into the famous Cuban cigar!

5. Day 5- Cuban countryside

   • You will go on a horseback riding excursion through the countryside, enjoy the beautiful landscape and see the Cuban farms growing a variety of crops. 
   • You will also visit a Mogote, a limestone rock formation so typical of the region. 
   • Lunch will be had an agro-ecological restaurant with a great view of the area, before we depart for Las Terrazas. 
   • Las Terrazas is a tiny eco-village of no more than 1,000 residents.
   • The area is a massive reforestation project and designated as a bio-reserve sphere, with only one hotel and limited tourism, to preserve the ecological project.

6. Day 6- Las Terrazas natural beauty

   • You will go on the walking tour of La Serafina, which takes you through the beautiful evergreen forest to learn about the reforestation project. 
   • Enjoy a breathtaking view from a panoramic viewpoint, before visiting the ruins of the Santa Serafina coffee plantation. 
   • Finally: travel down to the San Juan river for an optional swim. Picnic sandwich lunch included.

7. Day 7- Final Day

   • Return to Havana for some final sightseeing, before being driven to the airport for your return flight.
