I was born and grew up in Limón (Caribbean port). For the last 24 years I have lived among some of the country's best quality coffee plantations at Naranjo, Alajuela; a little over one hour west of San José. I had the opportunity of studying both in Costa Rica and in the USA. My main hobbies include hiking bird-watching, boating, snorkeling, and sometimes fishing.I am married and have four sons.I am a kid-friendly and family-oriented person.I like to build cultural bridges in green classrooms.Overall, I am a friendly Costa Rican who likes to share his country’s natural beauties and cultural-historic uniqueness through tailored tours, while learning from traveler friends.I am an educator by nature, a Forester (B.S.), Forest Economist (M.S.) by profession, and a Tour Guide by choice.I am interested in: Naturalist, academic, and generalist tourism guiding Applied research and teaching on the social, cultural, environmental, political, economic aspects of the sustainable management and conservation of natural resources Reversion of natural resource abusive and destructive use patterns, through environmentally friendly economic activities Natural resource conservation, ecological restoration, and sustainable development processes and projects Design, construction and operation of decision support systems for management planning and monitoring of investments in natural resource projects.
