 Little background  about myself.

Initially at the age of 17, while entering the University of Costa Rica I saw none of the careers which I longed for. They were Professional Interpreter or Tourism  so instead joined Psychology. I studied languages and Seminaries on Ecological Problems which I can certify. In those years, the beginning of the 80s,  the ecologists were struggling for Conservation laws in Costa Rica versus Economical problems as usual.

Many abuses to denounce  but many efforts were made in Costa Rica and through  the years many efforts have come to succeed in the country we have today. We have succeeded in conservation even with the actual  situations that our country is dealing with.I can prove it through many personal facts. As on 22 of February 2011 in Tortuguero River, where I visit an average of six times a year, for I am not specialized in the place, I saw a huge Jaguar  swimming across the river in presence of about 24 "amazed confused" tourists.

Besides, I have seen many species of birds  lately that I didn't see before  (bad news  we tour guides have to study more each day because we are challenged everyday with new and uncommon  species). I see people, after going on my tours, promising me that they are going to be more careful with nature, more ecologically oriented minds because they are grateful and I just lead them into their [sensitive content]urists come with an  important degree of expectancy.

I transmit, not only myself, but through boat captains, colleagues and hotel owners that there  is joy in interacting with the forest, the animals, plants, rivers, waterfalls and mountains. That in our deep nature, call it  animal or spiritual, it  means  we are the species in charge of the recovery of the earth and that recovery will pay us back with great abundance in terms of health- mental and physical etc.People in the Rain Forest or in any forest of Costa Rica come out from the forest inspired, may be also wet ( Ha ha ) but in love even with the snake that made them scream ( in case of the french as long as the snake is in their camera pictures ha, ha ).

I tell my tourists "entering a forest is an adventure".LET'S PUT IT THIS WAY,  things in life are predictable but entering a forest each time you do is still  exciting, surprising and renewing. (something different from the daily routines in life which tourist come escaping from). We dont know what nature is going to show off ! Just observing the slow fancy flight of a white huge morpho, the songs of hidden birds, the surprising awakenings with the scary howling of the monkeys when you hear them the first time FROM YOUR BED IN THE LODGE, the temples of forests not made by mankind but by God, leaves you in awe.

YES, I LOVE MY COUNTRY, MY PEOPLE AND ALL what  IT IMPLIES ! I like to be surrounded by tourists  who yes, demand knowledge, experience, accuracy, attention, but I also like them because we become friends, we make alliances of friendship, acceptance, tolerance and we both enjoy one another for we are different and we share extraordinary moments that will not be repeated.I tell the groups, even if you come back in a year and repeat the itinerary and we repeat jokes, places etc.it will never be the same and also your vision of nature will not ever be the same after experiencing my country Costa Rica.I hope these brief  lines tell you a little about my way of guiding and if you want more let me know.
