Description
We will trek to Ciudad Perdída, located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the indigenous territories of the Kogis. The 'Lost City' was found just in 1971 and is believed to have been founded around 800 AD, 650 years before Machu Pichu. Natural landscapes, bird watching, natural water pools, cascades, and many more vistas await your arrival.
Itinerary

Day 1: Santa Marta to El Mamey
- Transfer Santa Marta to El Mamey which is located in Sierra Nevada (around 3 hours).
- Lunch at El Mamey.
- Start walking the Machete trail. Make stops at the numerous waterfalls and natural water pools alongside the road.
- 5 hours uphill trekking, at the end of which we will get to our first camp, the cabins Adán or Alfredo.

Day 2: Paraiso Teyuna
- This day, we will enter the indigenous tribes' territory. Wake up at 5:00 AM to the sounds of Sierra, have a coffee, and enjoy the morning.
- Breakfast and leave for Paraiso Teyuna t 8:00 AM, to visit the indigenous tribe Pueblo of Kogui Mutanyl. The trekking will be for 9 hours, and we will cover 6-7 miles.

Day 3: Cabanas
- Receive a wake-up call at 5:15 AM. After breakfast, we will go up from Paraiso Teyuna for on or about one hour to Ciudad Perdída. There, we will explore the archaeological site for about 3 hours, with the help of expert guides.
- Descend to Paraiso Teyuna for lunch and walk to the second Wiwa cabin for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Descend form Ciudad Perdída
- We will go to the second cabin at Adan or Alfredo, which will take 4-5 hours.
- This night we say goodbye to the Sierra Nevada. Hear the stories of the locals and the sounds of nature around you as yu go to sleep.

Day 5: Return
- Descend from the cabins of Adán or Alfredo to El Mamey.
