El Totumo Volcano Tour
- We begin with the pick-up at your hotel, hostel, accommodation, or wherever your location may be, between 7:30 am and 8:00 am in an air-conditioned vehicle. We will also pick up other travelers. Please be patient as traffic can sometimes be an issue. We will enjoy a panoramic tour through the beautiful city of Cartagena until we take the national highway or Via al Mar that connects Cartagena de Indias with Barranquilla, heading to the rural area of Santa Catalina municipality, Bolívar, where we will appreciate the relief of the mud volcano and the Totumo Swamp.
The Totumo Volcano: Enjoy a relaxing mud therapy session at the very top of the Totumo volcano, with a height of 2,300 meters. It is filled with mud, which the locals call healing mud due to its therapeutic qualities characterized by the ingredients it contains, such as water, silica, aluminum, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and more minerals. These elements have medicinal properties that help reduce stress, normalize blood circulation, discharge negative energy, and recharge with positive solar magnetic energy.
