Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive in Beijing

   • Arrive in Beijing and transfer to your hotel.

   Accommodation: The Great Wall Hotel Beijing (5 stars) - the former Sheraton.

2. Day 2: Beijing Sightseeing

   • Visit the world-famous Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City this morning.

   • To avoid the cheap tourist restaurants where most tourists go, the guide especially serves you an à la carte lunch at a famous and elegant restaurant to taste authentic Chinese food.

   • In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven.

   • Regale the evening by a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre (Green Seats Area).

   Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.

3. Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall & Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in Beijing

   • Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall in the morning.  The round-trip cable car is included. 

   • Stop for lunch which is not included. The guide will show you some restaurants.

   • See the appearance of Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) on the way to the urban area.

   • Visit a famous local market in Beijing. 

   Meals: Breakfast.

4. Day 4: Beijing to Xian

   • Visit the Summer Palace.

   • Take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys.

   • Enjoy an à la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere.

   • Take a flight to Xian and check-in at the hotel.

   Accommodation: Sheraton Hotel Xian (5 stars)

   Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.

5. Day 5: Xian Sightseeing

   • Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum.

   • After a special and authentic home-cooked à la carte lunch at a local family's home, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xian Museum.

   • Be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking in the famous Dumpling Dinner. Dinner Show is available from April to November. 

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

6. Day 6: Xian to Shanghai

   • Visit the City Wall Park to observe the day-to-day life of the locals and learn to practice Tai Chi with the master.

   • Explore the ancient City Wall. 

   • Eat an à la carte lunch served at a well-known local restaurant.

   • In the afternoon, take a flight to Shanghai, and the local guide will transfer you to the hotel.

   Accommodation: Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel (5 stars)

   Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.

7. Day 7: Shanghai Sightseeing

   • Visit Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and explore its nearby traditional bazaar.

   • Eat an à la carte farewell lunch served at a popular local restaurant.

   • After lunch, discover the Former French Concession.

   • Head to the Bund area, where you will take a one-hour cruise tour on the Huangpu River.

   • Enjoy some free time to explore the Bund area.

   • Upon returning to the hotel, your tour guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

   Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.

8. Day 8: Departure from Shanghai

   • Travel to the airport for your departing flight by yourself. Due to different flight schedules, the hotel-airport transfer service is not included.
